MIRASPIS Richter and Richter, 1917. Miraspis mira (Barrande) (x8.1). Liteh Formation, M. Silurian (Wenlock), Lodenice, Bohemia. (RLS coll., id.; courtesy MCZ; now at FMNH). Each pleural segment carries two kinds of spines: one is long and slender; the other, shorter, is laced with secondary spines. This is possibly the most photogenic trilobite of this entire collection.
Miraspis mira (Barrande) (x5.1). Same origin as preceding plate. (RLS coll., id.; courtesy MCZ; now at FMNH.)
Miraspis mira (Barrande) (x9). Same origin as for plate 183 (loaned by MCZ). This is the only specimen figured here in which the peduncles, or stalks, carrying the eyes at their tips are preserved.
